The official announcement includes mention that FC tickets will not be sold for these concerts and tickets cannot be procured in Japan.

Glay’s 20th anniversary rolls around this year, and we finally decided to perform in the US and all the members are very excited about the prospect. The original idea for this because we have a friend who has lived in the US for a while now, and we wanted to put on a GLAY concert for our loyal staff in America. Since he’s busy he hasn’t been able to return to Japan, and we want him to see us and hear our music, and we’ve felt this way for a long time now.
Also, we’ve been hearing a lot from Japanese fans living in the US, all saying “We really want you to come here!” We also wanted to respond to those pleas, so that’s why we’re having shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Our “senpai” musicians have showed us just what it means that “of course music has no boundaries” and that if we just play our music, even people who grew up in foreign countries would be able to enjoy our music. Of course America is a country where all kinds of different people can gather, so it’s OK for anyone to come to have fun. Beyond words, beyond culture, we will put forward our best to bring our music to the audience.

Also, as you may already know, we’ve been asked to participate in “ap bank fes’08″. I heard that last year it had a 2 day stoppage due to being hit by a typhoon. I wonder how the weather is this year. I’m hoping for pleasant weather, first so I will enjoy the pure music and devote myself to the wonderful environment, and if I have even a little “something” to bring back home, then it’s bliss.

Although GLAY will be the face of environmental concerns, I’m going to blast out GLAY-style ROCK!
